Mieke is an energetic adventurer who loves chasing flies, hunting crickets, splashing through the running sprinkler, and trying to convince the cats to join her games. She takes home security seriously—a misplaced bag outside will face an echoing barking interrogation until she realizes it’s harmless. Once her duty is complete, she flips right onto her back, paws in the air, eagerly waiting for her beloved belly rubs.

Bailey approaches life with strict daily rituals, selecting one single Ball of the Day each morning. At mealtime, she plays with her kibble first—barking at the pieces and tossing them around before eating. In the bedroom, she loves pushing her ball under the bed and scratching for help to get it out so she can do it all over again. When it’s nap time, she carefully scratches her bedding together to make a cozy spot.

Nala is part star athlete, part lap dog, and full-time peacekeeper. When she isn’t playing with her frisbee, she serves as the Cat Police, stopping feline fights by staring them down until they calm down. She loves stalking and attacking her brother Odin in play, and stays attached to her human (my mother in-law) everywhere she goes.

Odin is a wonderfully clumsy one-eyed dog who lives life at maximum volume. When he runs fast, his heavy stride thunders across the grass like a galloping horse. Between his skyward howls and his relentless love for peanut butter, he is a big softie who loves resting his heavy head on your lap for pets.

Lilly is a sweet, gentle soul who wiggles with pure excitement whenever you talk to her. She is soft-hearted and worries she is in trouble if a voice is raised even a little. She knows her Nana always has treats waiting for her and trots over with quiet joy whenever Nana is near.

Oreo is a spunky three-paw dog who never lets anything slow her down, getting thrilled whenever you talk to her or bring out food. When Odin and Lilly try to play, Oreo stands her ground and barks wildly, a move that only gets the whole pack bouncing around the yard even more.

Whitey is a small, pure white cat who comes running the moment he hears his name called. He treats the surrounding farms like his personal playground, happily exploring neighboring yards and returning home proudly covered in dirt.
